Jan Wehinger, Partner at MHP – A Porsche Company, is a recognised expert in AI, mobility, and digital ecosystems. He will join the "Panel: Transforming Mobility with AI: Opportunities, Expectations and How to Get There" to share his insights on how the automotive industry is navigating its software-driven future.
In his interview, Jan explores bold ideas about emotional interfaces, the future of AI in decision-making, and the urgent need to rethink how we handle complexity in technology.

What inspired you to join Nexus Luxembourg for its second edition?
We're standing at a crossroads where the automotive industry is being redefined, from hardware-driven to software-defined, from closed ecosystems to open collaboration. Nexus Luxembourg brings together people who aren’t just reacting to this shift but actively leading it. I joined because these conversations are where strategy meets execution and that’s exactly where I operate.
What’s one tech prediction for the future that sounds crazy, but you believe in?
I believe we’ll see emotional interfaces, tech that doesn’t just understand your voice or intent, but your mood, your frustration, your energy. Not just for convenience, but to make digital systems more human. It sounds perhaps sci-fi, but it’s one missing piece in truly intelligent interaction.
What’s one thing tech still hasn’t fixed that it should have by now?
Decision fatigue. We’ve built recommendation engines and productivity tools, but tech still hasn’t meaningfully reduced the cognitive overload of constant micro-decisions. In a world of infinite choice, filtering what not to do should be a core feature not just what to do next. That would be a big step in managing complexity in a better way.
If AI could help with one everyday task, what should it be?
In automotive product development for example, AI should become the co-pilot for system engineers, accelerating requirements handling, interface clarity, and impact analysis across functions. That’s where speed meets safety and where execution often fails today.

We can't wait to hear Jan Wehinger share his vision and expertise on the future of mobility at Nexus Luxembourg 2025!
