  1. Short description of my keynote:

This keynote will introduce the vision behind the upcoming Single Market Strategy of the European Commission. It will highlight the need to modernize and deepen the Single Market to respond to today’s economic, digital, and geopolitical challenges. The speech will outline key priorities such as removing remaining barriers, fostering innovation, strengthening resilience, and ensuring that businesses and citizens alike can fully benefit from a smarter, more integrated European market.

  1. What inspired you to join Nexus Luxembourg for its second edition?

Nexus Luxembourg is a unique opportunity to connect with like-minded professionals, share innovative ideas and stay at the forefront of emerging tech trends. I was particularly drawn to the chance to exchange insights on how technology can drive meaningful change in sectors which are very high on the European Commission’s agenda like AI, digital transformation and competitiveness.

  1. What’s one tech prediction for the future that sounds crazy, but you believe in?

A tool which translates animal language.

  1. What’s one thing tech still hasn’t fixed that it should have by now?

One thing tech still hasn't solved effectively is the digital divide. While we've made tremendous progress in connectivity and digital tools, there are still large parts of the world, and even communities within developed countries, that lack reliable internet access, education in tech skills, or affordable devices. This gap limits opportunities for people to participate fully in the digital economy.

  1. If AI could help with one everyday task, what should it be?

Managing personal time and productivity. Think about a smart AI assistant that could understand your schedule and optimize your daily tasks. It could arrange meetings, suggest breaks at the right times, and even help prioritize personal projects. This would help achieve a better work-life balance and make many people’s live much easier – mine included!
