Dan Toma is the co-founder of OUTCOME and co-author of the award-winning books The Corporate Startup and Innovation Accounting. As a seasoned consultant and thought leader in corporate innovation, Dan brings deep expertise in helping large organizations embrace change and drive measurable impact. At Nexus Luxembourg 2025, he’ll lead the workshop “A Culture of Change: How to Foster It and How It Adds to the Bottom Line”, where he’ll share practical strategies to build adaptability into the core of any business. In this interview, Dan explores the power of the cultural transformation, his fascination with brain-to-cloud interfaces, and the one task AI should be handling already.

What inspired you to join Nexus Luxembourg for its second edition?
The attendees and speaker lineup.
What’s one tech prediction for the future that sounds crazy, but you believe in?
Direct brain-to-cloud interfaces enabling thought-based internet browsing and communication within two decades. It sounds like sci-fi, but the convergence of neurotechnology, AI, and wireless systems is already laying the groundwork.
What’s one thing tech still hasn’t fixed that it should have by now?
Interoperability between platforms and ecosystems. From messaging apps to medical records to smart home devices, the lack of seamless integration creates daily friction that tech should’ve solved long ago.
If AI could help with one everyday task, what should it be?
Chores! :)
AI should do the chores, for us to focus on creative and brain stimulating work, not the other way around where now thanks to AI I have more time to do dishes as AI is writing my blog posts.
