Thomas Mattsson is a Senior Advisor at Bonnier News, the largest media group in the Nordics, based in Sweden and operating in 13 European markets.

He serves as Vice Chair and is a former Chair of Utgivarna, the industry association uniting Swedish media companies across daily press, magazines, commercial television, and Sweden’s three public broadcasters.

Mattsson is also a board member of Tidningsutgivarna, Sweden’s national newspaper association, where he is a former CEO. He serves on the boards of Sveriges Tidskrifter, the national magazine publishers' association in Sweden; TT Nyhetsbyrån, Sweden’s national news agency; and the Ukrainian Media Fund, an initiative founded by Bonnier News and the newspaper associations in the Nordics to support local media in Ukraine.

Additionally, he is a board member of Business Post in Ireland and Nettavisen in Norway. Previously, Mattsson served for more than a decade as Editor-in-Chief and Responsible Editor

of Expressen, Sweden’s second-largest daily newspaper.
He has been recognized as Editor of the Year and Media Personality of the Year in Sweden.
