Teddy wa Kasumba, also known as Pahagbia and nicknamed "Mr. Metaverse", is a tech entrepreneur and recognized leader in cognitive transformation. He is the founder of BLVCKPIXEL, an applied foresight strategy firm based in Paris, and co-founder of CognitionX, its sister company in Algiers. Through these ventures, he advises governments, public institutions, and private enterprises on critical challenges related to Artificial Intelligence, Web3, and smart cities evolving into cognitive ecosystems.
With a background in Information Systems Engineering and an Executive MBA from EDHEC, he is also a doctoral researcher at École des Ponts Business School in Paris, where his research focuses on intelligent systems and cognitive societies. He is an active contributor to the ReTech Center, an academic think tank dedicated to exponential innovation and new governance models emerging from Industry 5.0.
Rooted in Ubuntu philosophy and deeply committed to Africa’s technological sovereignty, he works to connect the continent with the rest of the world through innovation, economic progress, and social justice—building resilient, inclusive, and sovereign digital societies.
