Prof. Dr. Djamila Aouada is the acting Vice Director of the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg, home to over 550 researchers in ICT. She is also an Assistant Professor and Senior Research Scientist, and the founder of the Computer Vision, Imaging and Machine Intelligence (CVI2) Research Group, a 30-member team driving high-impact research in AI and computer vision. She holds a Ph.D. in Computer Vision and has worked with leading labs including Los Alamos National Laboratory, Bell Labs, and Mitsubishi Electric Research Labs.

An IEEE Senior Member with over 150 peer-reviewed publications and multiple best paper awards, Prof. Aouada also serves on the Algerian AI Board and the UK ART-AI Board at the University of Bath, contributing to the advancement of AI initiatives.

She is passionate about public outreach, particularly in promoting women in science, and serves as a Board Director at the Asteroid Foundation.
