Michael Pechner has a well-established international career spanning finance, payments, fintech, and startups. He has served in COO, CEO and Managing Director roles, leading teams in areas such as cash and liquidity management, treasury, payments, and capital markets.

Originally from Luxembourg, he has worked at major banks including Citi, BNP Paribas, and Barclays/Barclaycard across various cities including London, Amsterdam, Zurich, Paris, and Brussels. He is currently the Managing Director of eBay's financial services for the EU, based in Luxembourg.

Michael is actively involved in the payments ecosystem and enthusiastic about the growth of payments and fintechs both in Luxembourg and internationally.

Prior to his current role, Michael was the COO of Payconiq mobile payments and CEO of Digicash in Luxembourg.

Michael holds an LLB (Hons) in English and French law and an MBA from Strathclyde Business School.
