Maurice Schubert

Partner, Cyber Defense & Resilience - Deloitte Luxembourg

Maurice Schubert is a Partner within the Cyber Practice at Deloitte in Luxembourg. Maurice joined Deloitte in February 2018 in Information & Technology Risk, where he managed the risk and security for Deloitte Solutions (including continuity and recovery measures), the PSF structure of Deloitte Luxembourg. He holds a degree in computer science, internal audit, and an MBA from IESE Business School.

With information security as a primary focus, Maurice has developed, over the years, extensive knowledge in information technology and risks, as well as Management, primarily for the financial industry. From 2019 to 2023, Maurice also held the position of CIO for Deloitte Luxembourg. Before joining Deloitte, he held various positions in information security and management and, since completing his first major in computer science, has carried out various projects in security, penetration testing, and red teaming. Clients included large industries, and the financial, educational, and technological sectors.

As part of the technology leadership of the firm, Maurice successfully implemented large security programs aimed at improving the resilience and technological tools of the firm, from the on-premises infrastructure to the multiple clouds used within Deloitte. Secure deployments include M365, Azure Cloud, Druva, CrowdStrike, Cohesity, as well as hands-on work with QRadar.

He also holds a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH v6), Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP), Cloud Certified Security Professional (CCSP), as well as Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification in information security.
