With 25 years of extensive executive and operational experience, Mathias has led M&A and asset management functions across large Pan-European financial organisations. Previously, he was the Global Head of Nordea’s Corporate & Investment Banking (CI&IB) division. As part of Nordea's senior leadership, Mathias has played an important role in driving the group-wide strategic initiatives focused on digitalisation. Prior to his leadership in CI&IB, he served as CIO and Head of Fundamental Equities for Nordea, where he managed a significant turnaround, launched new funds with a focus on ESG, and built a new model infrastructure, including a top-ranked buy-side research team.

His prior investment experience also includes senior roles in asset management and family offices, notably as a Senior Portfolio Manager with Pictet and with Stena.

Furthermore, he has studied at Uppsala University and the National University of Singapore. Outside of finance, Mathias came close to pursuing a professional career in ice hockey.
