Piergiorgio Vitello is the Lead Data Scientist at Orange Luxembourg, where he manages the technical aspects of the Data & AI team, overseeing the design and deployment of machine learning and generative AI solutions. His responsibilities include evaluating the technical effectiveness and business impact of these AI solutions. Additionally, he is a member of the Orange Experts Community for Big Data & AI.

Previously, he worked as a researcher with the MobiLab Transport Research Group at the University of Luxembourg, where he earned his PhD in Engineering. His research focused on leveraging AI and crowdsourced data for mobility analysis and transportation modeling. He also holds a Master’s degree in Software Engineering from Politecnico di Torino.
