Jessica Pan, MPH, is a global techno-optimist and leading voice in artificial intelligence and quantum technologies, passionately committed to solving humanity’s most complex challenges. Raised in Asia, where her father launched IBM’s first Shanghai office in the early 90s, and later shaped by her formative years in the heart of Silicon Valley, Jessica’s worldview was built at the intersection of science, technology, strategy, and social impact.

Trained as a cell biologist, epidemiologist, and health economist moving from bench to bedside to business, Jessica now operates at the vanguard of AI and quantum innovation. She holds a Master’s from Columbia University, where she was awarded the 2019 Bill Campbell Award and most recently recognized as the 2024 Allan Rosenfield Outstanding Recent Alumni honoree. Having spent her early life in Shanghai and Taipei, working with governments in East Africa and Cambodia, and operating within the global franchise of a Fortune 500 company, she possesses a proven track record in cross-cultural fluency, international business, public-private partnerships and stakeholder engagement that drive global transformative change.

As a key member of SandboxAQ’s Global Outreach team, Jessica helps steward a mission-driven company that is addressing some of the world’s most urgent challenges. From accelerating drug discovery and materials science to enabling breakthroughs in battery chemistry, post-quantum cryptography, and portfolio optimization, SandboxAQ is redefining what’s possible through its AI + Quantum solutions, including its pioneering Large Quantitative Models (LQMs).

In 2025, SandboxAQ announced a landmark $450M funding round, bringing its total funding to $950M and valuation to $5.75B. The round drew support from visionary investors including Ray Dalio, Horizon Kinetics, BNP Paribas, Google, and NVIDIA, alongside prior backers such as Marc Benioff, T. Rowe Price, Guggenheim Partners, and Breyer Capital. Jessica’s strategic leadership helps ensure these innovations reach the industries and communities that need them most—unlocking breakthroughs in health, finance, defense, and beyond.
