Laurent Mosar
Member of Parliament, Alderman - City of Luxembourg
Born on February 8, 1958, in Luxembourg, Laurent Mosar is a seasoned legal and political figure with a distinguished career in both fields. Married with two children, he resides in Luxembourg City.
He holds a DEUG in Law from Strasbourg (1979), followed by a Licence and two Maîtrises in Business Law and Political Science with a specialization in International Relations from Paris I – Sorbonne (1980–1982). He was sworn in as a lawyer in Luxembourg in 1983 and became an avocat-avoué in 1985. His legal training began in the chambers of Maître Nic Mosar.
Active in public service since 1979 as a member of the Christian Social People's Party (CSV), Laurent Mosar has served in the Luxembourg Chamber of Deputies since 1994. He has been a member of Luxembourg City’s communal council since 1997 and served on its collège échevinal from 2000 to 2005 and again since 2017. He was President of the Chamber of Deputies from 2009 to 2013 and has served as its Vice-President since then.
Outside of his professional responsibilities, Laurent Mosar enjoys tennis, travel, golf, and jogging.
