"Today, we forget to think. AI should be our daily reminder" - Baptiste Fosséprez

1. What inspired you to join Nexus Luxembourg for its second edition?

   
   

Luxembourg has the ability to organise events that set the standard in their field. The second edition of the Nexus Luxembourg symposium is no exception. The theme of accelerating AI and technology for a better future is perfectly in line with PEPITe's mission. It is therefore only natural that I am delighted to be able to take part in this event. 

2. What’s one tech prediction for the future that sounds crazy, but you believe in?

Tech predictions are all equally crazy. Rather than a prediction, I would like to express a wish: that human and material resources are truly mobilised wisely. I am too often stunned to see technological developments that claim to be virtuous but do not have a positive overall payback (economic, social and environmental).

3. What’s one thing tech still hasn’t fixed that it should have by now?

If there is one thing that technology has not yet achieved and should have done, it is the ability to store hyper-spontaneous energy efficiently. Imagine for a moment being able to store energy from lightning and storms. It would be a game changer. Even if the question of what a world with infinite energy would be like remains. Even in a world of infinite energy, peace is not guaranteed — on the contrary, new types of conflicts could emerge. 

4. If AI could help with one everyday task, what should it be?

   
   

AI should be able to help us remain critical and keep thinking. Nietzsche radically questioned the very foundations of Western thought: truth, reason, morality, logic, God, and even science. Today, we forget to think. AI should be our daily reminder!
